Parts of Mexico are known for extreme rainy seasons that wipe out whole roads going to villages.  There are times vehicles are unable to reach homes which can be very serious in cases of medical emergencies.  Getting food and basic household supplies is very difficult, as well as finding a way to go to and from work to continually provide for families' financial needs.
